The Long Game

In Waveland, the main antagonist does not reveal himself until page 30, and the protagonist does not even come onto the scene until page 57. I know I am breaking every screenwriting convention, but this is most certainly NOT a conventional story.

Overall, I am still thinking not terms of just one movie, but three.

Also, I am having a nice buildup, something that does not exist in 99% of the movies out there today. There is no tension in films anymore because there is no buildup. In a typical zombie movie, we are introduced to the main characters, and pretty much soon after that, it’s zombie mayhem city, and we have not had time to even give a shit about any of the characters. We don’t care if the zombies spend the rest of the movie eating the main characters in slow motion.

Anyhoo, although I am going to most likely have to cut the prologue, I am still going to keep the pacing of the movie slower than most movies today where you have figured out the plot in the first five min.
